and Special Programs - $18 Million
Annual contributions vital to CMU
The cornerstone of CMU’s future is the alumni, parents, and friends who traditionally have offered crucial support for CMU’s academic mission and special programs. Support arrives during the Campus Campaign, Public Broadcasting fund drives, and at many other times throughout the year. Annual gifts support the Parents Fund, various specialized academic programs, The Chippewa Fund for Intercollegiate Athletics, and much more.
Many students say their most powerful and long-lasting learning experiences occur in the specialized teaching, research, and cultural and fine arts programs that annual contributions support. Some of these include:
- Beaver Island Biological Station
- Charles V. Park Library
- The Center for Applied Research and Technology
- The Leadership Institute
- The Michigan Geographic Alliance
- Michigan Schools in the Middle
- Museum for Cultural and Natural History
- Music ensembles and summer camps
